profile
Noelle Eiferman was born in Paris, France. She studied drawing and painting techniques nearby at the atelier of Genevieve Salomon at the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Chatou Croissy. At that time, her main works included oil paintings (portraits and nudes) and different types of drawings: pencil, red pencil, chalk, and charcoal. Her subjects included still life, figurative art, and landscapes. It helped shape her style, which even in its early stages was showing signs of abstraction, in both overall structure and detail. A move to Princeton, New Jersey brought about bigger, bolder, abstract compositions. She played with colors, shapes and canvas size.
She now lives and works in Manhattan. She uses oil as her main medium to convey emotions through a variety of color, thickness and brightness.
